Carclew Youth Arts Funding (02/11/2011):

We are proud to announce that we have just been awarded the BHP Billiton Film and New Media Carclew Youth Arts Scholarship for 2012. We will use this funding to develop our knowledge, skills and equipment in the areas of 3D stereoscopic film making and motion-controlled camera rigging for both animation and time lapse photography. The scholarship is valued at $12,500. Shortly, we will spend some time working with industry professionals before we develop our own systems and begin producing 3D stereoscopic stop-motion animation.

Mike takes out Funniest Home Videos (20/11/2010):

  Baboons Film Festival News (25/10/2010):

Since Tropfest, Baboons has screened in about a dozen other festivals. Recently, it picked up a couple more awards. First was the Australian Teacher's of Media (ATOM) Awards, where it was nominated for Best Music Video and Best Animation. It took out Best Music Vid, so it was well worth the trip to Melbourne to attend the ceremony. Then we had some more success locally in November, taking out a gold award at the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) Awards for SA & WA. This qualifies the film for the national awards, also to be held in Adelaide next April. Meanwhile, it's been enjoying a good run in Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation touring around the world, and was also screened at the prestigious Ottawa International Animation Festival in October.

Cows With Guns reaches 1 million views (28/05/2010):

8 years after it was made, and 3 years after it was uploaded on youtube for all to see, our film Cows With Guns has reached 1 million views. The film seems to remain an audience favourite, despite the relatively dodgy animation we did back in high school. We put it down to the fact that it's just such a great song.
