Claymation is our most popular workshop and recommended as the ideal activity to run initially. Participants will learn about the different types of animation and watch GooRoo's film Animal Instincts to find out how it was made. They will then create their own clay characters and animate them using the Stop Motion Studio app, before watching their films at the end of the session.

Children will build a scene using our range of Lego and colourful backdrops. Then they will learn how to bring it to life with the magic of stop motion animation. The finished videos will be screened to the group and uploaded to YouTube via the GooRoo Animation Workshops channel to be shared with friends and family.

Using whiteboards is a quick and easy way to create 2D animation. Participants will create their own drawn animated sequence, captured with the Stop Motion Studio app. We also provide craft materials to interact with the drawings. This activity guarantees to unleash the creative potential of young minds.

Pixilation workshops are great for active children who want to star in their own movies. Participants will animate themselves doing extraordinary things like going through walls, sliding around on one leg or even flying. A large space, preferably outside, is required so it
is better suited to warmer months.

The 8 Week Animation Course provides kids with a great opportunity to discover their creative potential. Each week participants will explore a new animation technique and create their own movie. We run these courses occassionally at public libraries. They are also available to book for schools and OSHCs looking for an ongoing activity throughout the term.
